About Us
The Heart of Cornwall
Located on the edge of Cardinham Woods, in the heart of Cornwall, Langs Mill Camping offers easy access from the A30 and A38, and is just a 10-minute drive from Bodmin Parkway mainline station.
The 1.5 acre site is nestled in a valley clearing and offers space around you to breathe in the forest air and lose yourself in the music of the stream which chuckles around you.
Cardinham Woods is a haven of tranquillity with over 600 acres of wooded paths and trails to explore, a café, children’s play area and the famous Bodmin Beast mountain bike trail – all directly accessible from Langs Mill. Leave the car at the campsite, cross the clapper bridge, or wade through the stream and just strike out!
You might just prefer to stay on-site and enjoy the peace and quiet, paddle in the stream, build a den, or try your hand at stone stacking!
Close to so many places!
On the edge of Bodmin Moor, we are just a short drive to the evocative landscape that inspired Daphne du Maurier to write Jamaica Inn – and the actual Inn and museum is just a 15 minute drive. Within 10 minutes’ drive you can access the market town of Bodmin, a previous county town of Cornwall, which has everything you need - supermarkets, takeaways and fast food, pasties, vets, hospital, shops, pasties, bike hire, gyms, pasties..
Langs Mill is also the perfect location for exploring, by car, on foot or on wheels. On our doorstep is the 600 acre Cardinham Woods. Within 30 minutes you could be walking or cycling the Camel Trail, at The Eden Project, on the harbour at Looe or Polperro, walking the moors up to Roughtor or Brown Willy, or visiting Carlyon Bay or Charlestown ancient port.
10 minutes more and you could be surfing in Polzeath, or Harlyn, or drinking in Doc Martin’s local in Port Isaac, or eating fish and chips in Padstow.
Add another 10 minutes for Tintagel Castle, Truro or Newquay, including the airport.

Our facilities
We are a small, compact site with just 5 tent/campervan pitches and a shepherds hut, so we are ideal for quiet family breaks, or for groups who would like a bit of quiet exclusivity.
Please note that due to access and site size we cannot accept caravans, or any vehicles, campervans or motorhomes which exceed 2.1m in height, or 4.8m in length. Trailer tents only by prior approval.
Our campers have free use of the entire site, including our fire pit, for which we can sell wood from our own grounds.
Limited electrical hook-up is available for an additional £5 per night

The Hut
This beautifully fitted, locally made 2-berth Shepherd’s Hut has a pull-down double bed. It sits in its own quiet corner of the site, looking out over the stream.

The Hut
The Hut is en-suite and contains a two-ring electric stove, log burner, sink and small fridge.
Optional Extras
We can lend you fire bowls and barbecues so you don’t have to bring your own, and sell you firewood.
We can also offer secure bike storage if you need it.
Please note, we only have parking available for one vehicle per pitch. Additional vehicles can only be accepted by agreement at a charge of £5 per night.
Booking for 2025
We open for 2025 on 23rd May, and our licence requires at least one person per pitch to be a member of Wanderlust Camping Club. Membership can be obtained with a one-off payment per stay of £6 for each tent or £12.50 for The Hut.
Some of the funds raised by the club are donated to wildlife and nature projects local to Langs Mill.
Our fees for 2025 are £30 per pitch per night for camping and £80 per night for the Hut, with free parking for one car only, and up to 2 well behaved dogs for free. Electric Hook Up is an additional £5 per night.

It offers free wifi, parking for one vehicle on site and additional parking nearby, a cafe, indoor swimming pool, tennis court and children's play area. The park is located next to the dunes, with easy access to the beach and coast path.
